Last summer I was honoured to create wedding invitations for my good friend Barbie. She was planning an outdoor wedding to her best friend Kurt and I had lots of fun creating her invitations. She wanted to incorporate some handmade paper she had purchased and also wanted to have a natural colour theme to match the outdoor location. We worked together to create an invitation she liked and I think the end results were beautiful (if I do say so myself....)
We used the cherry blossom punches throughout and added the sage green envelopes to continue the natural theme. The handmade paper was fun to work with and using a wet fold technique I was able to 'cut' the paper resulting in a soft frayed edge.
